Avidia Bancorp screens as an attractively valued, fast-growing regional bank with bullish insider buying, but the stock has already reached its analyst price target and sits near its 52-week high with overbought momentum, leaving little near-term asymmetric upside.

About Avidia Bancorp, Inc.
About Avidia Bancorp, Inc.
Avidia Bancorp became the stock holding company for Avidia Bank in July 2025, when the Hudson, Massachusetts-based mutual converted to stock form and raised proceeds by selling 19,176,250 shares at $10.00 each. At December 31, 2025, the company reported $2.84 billion in total assets, $2.30 billion in loans, and $2.13 billion in deposits, operating ten offices across Middlesex and Worcester Counties and regulated by the Federal Reserve, the FDIC, and the Massachusetts Commissioner of Banks.
Avidia Bank funds its balance sheet with certificate of deposit accounts, IRAs, money market and checking accounts, plus nationwide Health Savings Accounts marketed through its Avidia Health program, and deploys those deposits primarily into one-to-four-family residential mortgages, commercial real estate, and commercial and industrial loans. Loans secured by real estate made up 56.4% of the $2.30 billion loan book at year-end 2025, while commercial and industrial loans -- split between condominium-association lending and other C&I credits such as dental-practice and solar-plant loans -- made up 43.4%. Beyond core banking, Avidia has run a payments-processing business serving small-business merchants and other payment entities nationwide since 2000, a fee-income line distinct from its Massachusetts deposit franchise. Following its 2025 stock conversion, the company funded an Employee Stock Ownership Plan and a charitable foundation, and in January 2026 declared its first quarterly cash dividend of $0.05 per share.
Show full overview
Avidia's franchise is geographically concentrated in a single corner of Massachusetts even though it commands little pricing power there: as of June 30, 2025, the bank ranked just 12th among FDIC-insured institutions in Middlesex County with a 2.17% deposit market share, and 10th in Worcester County at 2.70%. That combination -- a single-region footprint against a fragmented field of larger money-center, regional, and community-bank competitors, plus a growing list of non-depository fintech entrants -- means Avidia's growth in loans and deposits is tied to winning incremental share in the same two counties rather than to expansion into new geographic markets.
